The whispers started in 2018. Rumors of people stronger than mere mortals. Strange crimes were revealed by forensic scientists that were too bizarre for ‘reality’. How could someone be bitten by a wolf in the middle of a huge city? Why would there be a body that was completely drained of blood? How had such a thing occurred? As science increased, the ability for the other races in the world to remain hidden lessened dramatically.
An uneasy alliance was struck between the Lycan clans and the Vampire covens. They needed to present a united front to the humans when they revealed themselves. Better to come out willingly, was the consensus, than be exposed.
May 17, 2019 was the day of the grand announcement. Needless to say, the world went into a bit of a panic. A rise in violent crime swept the globe as people attacked others they thought were vampires or Lycans. More often than not, the victims were humans as the other races are harder to kill.
Feburary 3, 2020- Roark University in Lawrence, IN was chosen as the site of the first truly interracial school. The college opened its doors to both Lycans and Vampires as well as its normal human population for the Fall 2020 term. The reaction to this announcement was mixed, as expected. There are extremist groups on all sides as well as more tolerant beliefs. Fall term has just started and the human students are now face to face with their new classmates.
